Matt D’Arcy
Matt D’Arcy aka Coach Cool started CrossFit back in 2012 when a local box opened. He came from a fitness background of rugby leauge and union, touch football, gymnastics, (the occasional squash dual) and of course surfing. CrossFit came naturally and not before long he found himself competeing locally and statewide. Training and competeing aside, Matts true passion was revealed when he began coaching. The devotion and dedidcation Matt has for his community and helping others is second to none.

Co-owner / head coach
Eloise Sarks
After moving from Sydney in 2012, Elle struggled to make friends in a town where she knew no one. A box opened next door to her office where she was welcomed with open arms. She was blown away by the value of community and the friends she made so quickly and easily, and it kept her coming back everyday. She has a passion for a holistic lifestyle beyond fitness and believes there are so many facets that construct ‘healthy’. She hopes to provide Escape with as many outlets for educating each member to achieve total wellness.

Coach
Dylan Twiner
After two to three years of conventional gym work and growing bored of his own routines, Dylan caved in and tried CrossFit after months of pestering from a friend to give it a go. After surviving his first session he was back in the gym every day after that, keen for a new change. Dylan’s mentality to training, nutrition and life has changed as a result. He’s competed at national level competitions, and attains his accredited level 1 coach certification, and will develop his skills further through level 2 accreditation. CrossFit as a training methodology has opened him up to a new perspective on what the human body is capable of.

Coach
Kalen Starr
Kalen’s always been enthusiastic about strength and conditioning training throughout high school, after graduating a CrossFit gym opened in his local area and he gave it a try. Immediately, he was keen to keep learning more about CrossFit and the wider range of movements it incorporated. With CrossFit’s addictive nature and the competitive atmosphere it drove him to compete in competitions and soon after he attained his level 1 certification as a trainer. Kalen’s commitment and attention to detail as a trainer is evident when he coaches members from beginners to athletes.
